Welcome to the home of KRM, Inc., a consulting company incorporated in 1987 in the Commonwealth of Virginia by Larry Kerschberg and Nicole O. Kerschberg. 

KRM is dedicated to advancing the state-of-the- art and practice of knowledge management in both Industry and Government.  We view knowledge as a corporate resource that should be fostered, captured, represented and used for the strategic benefit of an organization.

Over the past seven years Dr. Kerschberg has served as an expert consultant to law firms in a variety of cases and has provided expert testimony in cases involving prior art, patent claim construction and misappropriation of trade secrets.

In recent years, Dr. Kerschberg - as a consultant or subcontractor through KRM - has been involved in several federally funded programs for the Intelligence Community, DARPA, NASA and the Federal Highway Administration.  He has also consulted for Global InfoTek and Lockheed Martin.

Kerschberg is also Professor of Information and Software Engineering in the Volgenau School of Information Technology and Engineering at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.

He directs the E-Center for E-Business at George Mason University.

Dr. Kerschberg serves as a founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Intelligent Information Systems, published by Springer.  He also serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Data Semantics published by Springer.
